Okay friends. I wanna talk about consistency, loyalty and surrendering today. Two big blessings happened to me this week and I wanna share how being consistent, loyal and surrendering control got me there. But first, let's talk about goals. What do you do when you are trying to be successful and you’re trying to hit a rank or a promotion in your job? Do you put ALL the pressure on your own shoulders and get stressed and overwhelmed or do you lean on God and dive into the word for guidance and spend time in prayer? I’ve been in BOTH situations and I’ve seen what the end results turn out to be and let me tell you, the outcomes are COMPLETELY opposite. For example, I do a lot of different things; music, Young Living essential oils, graphic design, being a student, teach voice and more… (lol) and in the times where I put all the stress on my own shoulders and am holding on to the control with a tight grip, I crash and burn. But in the times where I remind myself about Psalms 81: 6-7..

“I removed the burden from their shoulders; their hands were set free from the basket. In your distress you called and I rescued you, I answered you out of a thundercloud; I tested you at the waters of Meribah”.

I focus on being consistent and loyal in the word, prayer and journaling and surrendering control to God. And when I do that, I start to see how the outcomes change from failure and disappointment to unexpected blessings that exceed ALL of my expectations. I start to see why now is the perfect timing and THEN was not. I start to see all of the puzzle pieces to God’s plan come together. I start to understand WHY God did what he did. I start to understand everything. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that we just need to ask God for help, like Matthew 7:7 says.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you”

Now, if you’re praying to God and he knows your request/prayer does not align with his plan for you and he already knows he has something SO much better for you then you will not see that prayer being answered but you WILL see a prayer answered that you didn’t even ask for. What I have learned recently is when your consistent and loyal to God and your faith and you fully surrender yourself and your control on your life, things start falling into place and you start thinking to yourself.. “OH, it all makes sense now!”. In your situation, it could have been a relationship that didn’t work out, a promotion that you didn’t get months ago, a job you lost, or whatever else that you have gone through that you didn’t understand at the time why it was happening. And now, after you see the TRUE blessing God has for you, you’re praising God and thanking him for having your back and doing what he knows is BEST.

So let’s look at in the aspect of my music;

I’ve been doing music since I was 12 years old and the older I get, the more passionate I get about it and the more I wanna use my music as a platform to be a role model and to share my faith, honestly and joy through my music while striving to make the world a better place and while shining the light of Jesus the whole time. The older I get, the more I fall in love with country music. I believe that it’s a platform where I can do what God has called me to do as long as I stand FIRM in my faith. The storytelling and honestly aspect of it is intriguing and inspiring to me.

A lot of times in the industry, people ask me who I want to be like or tell me that I could be the NEXT _____. In all honestly, I don’t want to be the “NEXT” anyone, I want to be the FIRST “Kylee Laynee”. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have artists that I look up to and that inspire me but I’m not trying to be a repeat of them. I believe that God’s plan for everyone is different and everyone is unique in their own way and that should be embraced. Now do I know exactly what’s going to happen for my music career and how it’s going to happen? Nope! But when I dive into the word and stay present in my faith, I know that I can trust God and the plans he has for my life. I can trust that it’s all gonna work out like it’s supposed to as long as I work hard and always put God first. I’ll be honest, I used to run from God sometimes because I was scared that his plans didn’t look like mine and I didn’t like NOT having control. But you know what I didn’t have during that time? PEACE. You know what I didn’t do during that time? Dive into the word and stay consistent in prayer and just talk to God and ask for help. I wasn’t surrendering everything I had, I was holding on to it with a tight grip and wasn’t planning on letting go. I was scared and I trusted myself to have control more then I trusted God to and that’s never the right answer. So could God’s plans look a little different then what I might imagine? Yes, it could! But by surrendering control, I have learned that God’s got me and he already knows what’s gonna happen and how it’s gonna happen and I find PEACE in that. Being an artist is hard but so rewarding, so if you’re reading this and you are an artist as well, take it from me.. SURRENDER CONTROL and God will do the rest. Work hard and do your part and dive into the word and God will do the rest. No matter how far you run, he’s still there, waiting for you with arms opened wide. So, whenever you’re ready… let go and let God. You’re gonna fill a HUGE weight lifted off your shoulders.

Even since I gave God control, I can see growth in myself mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. I'm not the same girl I was when I was 12 or 16 or even last year. He has given me so many blessings and I can see him paving the way even though I still don’t know the exact path. Sometimes not knowing everything is okay because I know that God knows and that’s enough for me. OH! And one of the big blessings from this week is that I FINALLY released my first ever music video of my cover of ‘My Hero’ by the Foo Fighters and seeing all the support, response, shares and comments since the release is OVERWHELMING and makes my heart so happy. The video was directed, filmed, edited and everything else by Kelly Kerr and it was such a blessing to get to work with him!!! It was confirmation from God that there are people rooting for me and my music and that feels SO good.

Okay, so now let’s talk oily biz and see how consistently, loyalty and surrendering got me where I am today this month;

First, no..I’m not about to try and sell you something but simply gonna share my heart and show you how you can apply it to your own workspace/job. :)

I started my oily biz in late 2018 and quickly fell in love with the results I was seeing from the oils/products and my heart thrived when I got to teach people about essential oils and how to start making choices that could better their lives and their families lives. It’s a passion I never knew I had but God sure did know what he was doing and let me tell you… it was UNEXPECTED

but in the best possible way. I also fell in love with the community and the friendships that I have gained and the heart and purpose being Young Living. So after I decided to commit to the biz, I just jumped right in and I did good. But there was something missing that I wasn’t doing then like I am now. There’s a HUGE difference in myself from 2018 to now. I wasn’t staying consistent and loyal to reading the word and diving into my faith and I definitely wasn’t surrendering any control or praying over my business and over my team/future team like I am now. I didn’t understand it yet.

But the SECOND, I let God have some control and I realized I needed to do something different, I got my first ‘boss babe’ that wanted to do the oily biz with me; Kylie. And God knows how thankful I am for our friendship and that we get to do this fun biz together while simply helping people!! And soon after, Layce came on board and let me tell you, we all needed each other as much as the other did. I’m sure it’s for different reasons with all of us but God KNEW what he was doing. God had given me two amazing God fearing women that love Jesus, works hard and is passionate about helping people and essential oils to work right along side of me and that was just the beginning!!! Fast forward a few months, I had become really diligent with making God and reading the word a priority and staying consistent with praying for my whole Young Living team and business and for future biz builders, their families and declaring success and blessings over all of them! Another light switch turned on and I kept feeling a tug to dive deeper into the word and prayer. So I did. I was surrendering ALL control to God this time, and suddenly all of our businesses started blooming even more!!! I got TWO new boss babes to work along side with THIS MONTH! Yeah, you read that right, I got TWO. Which, I had been praying for!! God gave me the two legs (two business builders) that I needed to rank up to Executive AND receive a bonus that I had been praying for in the FIRST month that the new bonus program has started. PLUS, he gave me two more friendships that I'm super thankful for!!! Also in the same month multiple team members also ranked with bonuses!!! (SO many blessings!!!)

I remember praying for genuine, committed, passionate, women (or men) that wanted to do this biz with me and wanted to work hard and strive to be the best that they can be and always put God first and that’s exactly what I got. I can remember praying to God to show me how to be a good leader and for his will to be done. Nobody can say that God doesn’t answer prayers; because this was ALL GOD. I seriously have the best team that works SO hard and all I can say is “Thank you Jesus!!!”

But with all this said, I had to go through a lot of trials and work really hard before getting to where I am today but it was so worth it and I can’t wait for our team to grow even more and to continue creating a community where dreams are limitless when faith is the foundation. Our teams motto is #werisebyliftingothers. When one of us succeeds, we all succeed. These women aren't on my team by accident, God placed us all together on purpose. This was always in God's plan, I just didn't always know it.

Speaking of trials, I actually thought I was going to rank up a few months ago but it fell through. But, I didn't have the foundation I have now and I wasn't ready emotionally, spiritually or mentally. I didn't know it at the time but God did. I encourage you NOT try and speed up God's plan for yourself, it never works out until it is finally God's timing and trust me, it will be so worth it! Because when I hit the rank of Executive today, I knew that this was how it was suppose to happen and it was perfect.

So is doing this biz a piece of cake? NO. Does it take hard work? YES. Is it worth it? YES! Every second of it!!

Did it take consistency and loyalty in my faith and surrendering control to God to climb over a mountain?! YES! Will there be another mountain?! YES, and I'll climb that one too!

So, if you feel like you’re in a funk at your job or maybe you want to chase a dream job or maybe a opportunity is being given to you but it was never “in your plan” so you don’t want to do it or just can’t see the FULL picture yet… let me be the one to tell you. YOU CAN DO IT. This could be the unexpected answered prayer that you’ve been asking God for and you’re just not realizing that in this moment!! Take a leap of faith and just jump in. But over all else, stay consistent in the word, loyal to God and surrender ALL control and you will start seeing blessings above blessings. Now it may take time but DON’T GIVE UP!!!

Here’s the scripture that inspired today’s blog.

Jeremiah 1:6-9

Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth.”

Always know that you can do anything if you put God first and keep your trust in him. If God gives you a job to do, he will provide all you need to do it, no matter what is or how many jobs it is!!!

STAY CONSISTENT. BE LOYAL. SURRENDER.
